Description: This lot is a kit, which includes: the amplifier (fully tubed), all cables including the input jack and plug, a Hammond 19" reverberation tank (Type IV, part #23-12-2 / 1122-6113), a bottom mounting plate, a front mountign plate, a schematic and a parts list. This amplier sounds amazing! Get the pure tube sound that only a single eneded Amplifier with 6BQ5 output tubes used in triode mode can provide, mixed with the spaciousnes that reverb adds to it. A great project that can be easily completed, because all needed items are there. This amplifier is branded Silvertone and was made for Sears Robuck and listes a chassis #456.59470 and 528,5970. It is labelled as Stereo High FIdelity Tubes: Output: 2 x 6BQ5, Driver , Pre amp.: 2 x 12AX7. Rectifier: 6CA4 / EZ81. Features: 2 x 7W RMS. Controls: (L to R): Balance, Loudness, Reverb, Treble, Bass. Condition: Good. Good Working order. Clean pots. No rust. All original. Cosmetic condition about 8. A bit dusty. |

Description: This Pre Amplifier / Amplifier combination is amzing as it rivals much more expensive tube amplfiers in sound quality amount of detail and airyness. It says it is built under licensing form RCA. Again, It is a combination of a pre- amplifier which is powered by the power amplifier. Also it's original speakers are available. This amplifier setup would make the perfect center chanel amplifier or the perfect amplifier for a 78 RPM record system.
Condition: good to excellent, works great! Tubes: Output: 4 x 6L6, Driver 12AX7, Pre amp: 6AU6. Rectifier: 2 x 5Y3 Features: 30Watt output power, 1 line level input, 1 speaker output. Controls: Volume, Bass coupled with on / off switch), Treble. This amplification system is mono. TEECO model 955 (by Truesound, LA CA, USA) Description: This integrated amplifier is a great amp for serious music at restricted budgets. Just as it is, it will blow away many amplifiers costing several times its price. But it is also a prime candidate to put some more new technology magic into, to really make it sing for low power / high efficiency speaker setups. This amplifier operates completely with triode circuitry and operates single ended. It uses one 6BQ5 / EL84 pentode per channel as output, which is used in triode mode. There are no other pentodes in this amplifier! The driver consists of a 12AX7. The result is amazing detail, air and vibrancy in musicality close in sound to my other custom modified much more involved 6BQ5 Amp. Tubes: Output: 6BQ5 / EL84 (2 - 1 per Channel), Driver: 1 12AX7. Phono Pre Amp: 1 12AX7, 1 6CA4 / EZ81 Rectifier. This amp came with an Amperex Bugle Boy EZ81 and Mullard 6BQ5s which are included. They are old, but sound superb to new tubes. Condition: Contacts, controls and switches are restored. There is a slight hum at high volume settings with no signal, indicating the need for new filter caps at some point in the future. At some time in the past it seemed to have been repaired: One of the output transformers was replaced with a different, but also good quality one. I could not hear a difference between the channels. As with most amplifiers of this age the volume controls do not track entirely even across their range between channels. This is a none issue on this amp, as they are separate, yet eliminating the need for a balance control and thus eliminating the need for an extra step in the signal path (which is good). Case: the lower part, which encloses the electronics is in good shape. The cover was somewhat aggravated by dust and the paint is not as solid as the bottom. No deep rust. Some scratches, slight bends. Face plate shows signs of oxidization ( ugly) , probably liquid spill or neglect. The photo, due to high compression, looks really bad.
