I did not plan a budget for any of below items - your willingness to trade for the above offered items (or other products / services from this web site) for at least for the largest portion, is understood.
Wanted:
Specific equipment just below not so specific e-mail me (remove z in address)
Memory boards for AKAI S-1000 sampler (or items just below). I want to upgrade mine to 32 Mb. Want either: any 2 MB cards, 8 Mb cards or the Australian custom made 32 Mb board. Cards can be either working or not; actually if 2 Mb cards offered, non working (price) preferred, as I will modify any 2 Mb cards to 8 Mb anyway. Junked non working S1000 or S1000 PB with memory cards considered. Send me your offers...(remove z in address)
Akai S-2000 sampler, fully working, in any memory configuration,
or: Any other working Akai sampler with installed SCSI option (- a must!) expandable to at least 32 Mb of RAM or more (Not interested in: the production stations, models below S1000, or S1000, S2800 (simmilar - requiring AKAI propriotory RAM) with less than 32 Mb RAM installed!)
AKG C414 condenser microphone, better yet: Neumans. CAD possible.
Korg Wavestation A/D synthesizer; also the dutch wave input sampler for it would be cool.
Roland JP8080 or JP8000
Roland Jupiter 8 or Roland MKS-80
Another Mackie Mixer (No on Tapco). Could use almost any model (for various different applications). Let me know what you have.
A portable rackmount case which provides space to mount and enclose 19" mixer on top of case (a must!) . That would make my gigs much easier!
Another keyboard stand durable enough for gigs.
Another color printer 1440 dpi or higher. Network compatible would be cool. Or an Epson Stylus Color 740, as I already have right ink etc. for it, but I am open to anything. If I had a choice though, Id prefer EPSON. Definitely has to be Mac compatible, if not: Network printer with 10BT interface, (or better) and Mac support.
Digital still image camera with lots of megapixels and RAM (at least 1200 x1600 pix. and up - a must!) Nikon coolpix 8xx/9xx series preferred, but open to anything qualifying which is compatible with Mac serial or USB. Not sure about compatibility? Let me know what you have anyway.
.
Epson 10 BT network card, compatible with Epson Color Stylus PRO/PRO XL.
5V 168 pin DIMMs for Macintosh, ideally two 64 Mb or even better one 128 Mb SIMM. (please: just because they are 5V that doesn't mean they are outrageously expensive. I can get new ones (128 Mb) with warranty for about $60. Prices came down!)
Video RAM for Power Mac 7200 or System 8.5 compatible PCI video card with video RAM
A Power Mac running at least at 120 Mhz with internal IDE drive. Let me know which model you have - I might just go for it; or trade me your old ProMax IDE board. But... to be honest: it is not my highest priority item right now. It's just another print server on the network. So if you need cash (for that matter: lots of it) there might be other people just wanting it desperately. Probably I'll get one next time for about $30 when I get to go down to the flea market. Discouraged? Send that e-mail anyway!
A smaller good sounding P.A., that is: an Stereo Amp and speakers or even better: Amplified speakers, Amplified studio monitors e.g.: Mackies HR 824 series (just dreaming..., but hell, let me know what you've got! Ampex 2010's (tube amplified suitcase monitors) also needed. If you have an extra raw speaker or dead unit of these, please let me know :-)
Maybe: A small Motorcycle between 250 and 450 cc in good running condition. (Things are already way too busy as they are around here... continuos repairs / overhaul: been there, done that. No this time!) Why a motorcycle then: I just hate taking the car to town when it's just me and something smaller would do just fine. If, I can pick up within 4 hours of drive from here: Chico, CA - like Bay Area is fine. Further away: I'll pass, but thanks though, unless you want to deliver)
ALWAYS WELCOME (trade preferred) :
Working and non working music and PRO Audio, audio, or gear that you just don't use, or want to trade is welcome, but I am picky. Definitely: No on stolen or questionable items. Owners manuals, original boxes, original invoices, original owner, etc., preferred. Good readable serial numbers a must where equipment issued one.
Old and quality equipment preferred over plastic or digital. (A digital phasor? Yikes!) The older, the better. Tubes, lots of knobs! Op-Amps. Though: Guitars, violins, drums etc. - acoustic instruments? Someone else's! (possibly can refer you to a friend though)
I am a synth, tube gear and recording type of guy. Unless.... maybe: one really nice native american drum!
Stereo stuff? Been there - done that - as a kid, even repaired this stuff professionally and was authorized to perform warranty service. Thanks, but NO for the rest of my life, unless it's tube and High-end.
A really good turntable (with 78 RPM) would be cool too, but top of the line only!
Video equipment? Computers? -> No.
NO on radios, CB etc. Any kind! I had fun for a while, but am not into it anymore.
Synths? Yesss! but analogues are first! Seventies, Early/mid/ late eighties, if quality top of the line, even digital: Yes. Really weird synths no-one ever seen before? Let me know! Currently sold synths cool too, (but for all synths: a definite no on: work stations or keyboards); I am a synthesizer purist. Tube organs a possibly, but very iffy. Cheapo synths, digital synths from the late eighties to early/mid nineties: - synths with no knobs: No. ( I don't even like the Roland Alpha Junos).
Drum machines or rhythm boxes later than TR-909: Nope. I hate drum machines, but love electronic synthetic drum sounds and old tyme rhythm boxes.
Recording gear and processors? Yes, Yes!!
Tube gear? Wow!, if olde tyme or High End. One or 2 tubes - the rest all solid state? NO. Other Hybrid? High End more likely, but generally NO. Also: Stereo tube power amps (35 W/Ch & up) and tube pre amps; even Mono amps (Where is that Lesley?) Yes too. Integrated amps with 6BQ5 outputs cool too: like Dynaco SCA-35, Scott 299 etc...
Guitar amps? Tube and more than15 W: absolutely cool. Transistor: Nope (No use, not even a for a genuine British VOX).
Studio Monitor / speakers active or passive: Yes, but none that say STUDIO MONITOR in big letters on the front. I want quality! How about some Tannoys, Mackies or better! Tannoy dual cone concentrical raw speakers with crossover or a complete set of such speakers would be cool too.
Condenser Mics? Yep!!! Medium to large diaphragm preferred. NO on made in China or Russia. I really don't know if I am into small to medium diaphragm Shures either. I want it from Germany, Austria or the US! Any Neumann would be cool.
Old dont know what it is, weird electronic nerd stuff? Right on!! Though: music / audio related only!
Digital million feature made in Taiwan / China one wonderchip does it all, plastic device? Nope!
No on Tandy or Radio Shack.
NO on stuff that has been repaired to death, unless you recognize that it's good for parts only - and price it accordingly (next to free). But most likely, I still will say No.
Ready to launch? Send me that e-mail (remove z in address)!
